ABOUT the team
The International SX Race Team is a small budget race team running on purpose, determination, and grit. Our purpose is to build a culture and image that redefines the meaning of being a privateer in the sport of Supercross.
ISRT was developed in 2017 by owner Theodore “Bubba” Pauli. It was early into Bubba’s professional racing career when he created a self-funded with the help from a few small businesses and friends. Bubba was joined by athlete Michael Akaydin and together, they developed the start of what would become a recognizable small budget race team in the sport of Supercross.
Fast forward to 2023, ISRT is approaching its sixth year competing against the highest caliber athletes and teams. The team has been able to fund a 3-rider 450SX program that competes in all 17 Monster Energy Supercross events for the past three years and led by team manager, Ryan Koontz.
We know the term privateer has deep roots in our sport, but we believe that separating ourselves from that term is the first step to accomplishing our purpose to redefine the image of a non-factory team.
We are a race team. It doesn’t matter if a team is operating on a $1M dollar budget or a $1,000 budget, it should have discipline and purpose that supports its mission. Our intentions are to represent the brands that support us and illustrate to the industry and major players of our sport that our team is for real.
