Edwardsville, IL., January 11, 2021

The International Supercross Race Team is excited to announce its new team for the 2021 Monster Energy AMA Supercross Series. The team will be known as MADD Parts/Double Eagle MX/Namura Technologies Kawasaki. The team approaches its fourth consecutive year and will field a three-rider roster for all 17 rounds aboard 2021 Kawasaki KX machines with the help of their partner, Jonesboro Cycle & ATV of Jonesboro, AR. The team will compete aboard KX450s and a KX250 with familiar American SX athletes, Theodore “Bubba” Pauli and Logan Karnow, along with 4X Spanish SX Champion, Joan Cros (Spain).

The MADD Parts/ Double Eagle MX, Namura Technologies team has worked diligently the past several months to further enhance the program and continue to be one of the most notable small budget race teams in the series. With the additional support from TXS Productions, FXR Racing and new partners Circuit Equipment and SEAGEMS, the team will continue building its strong brand of professionalism, determination, and grit. “The goal for our team is to have grit and purpose. That’s something we can control,” explained Ryan Koontz, team manager. “Although the term privateer has deep roots in our sport, we view ourselves more as a small budget race team. Each round, each qualifying session, and each gate drop, our purpose is to be competitive against the highest caliber athletes and teams in our sport. We also put a lot of pride in our ability to manage our program efficiently. There is a lot of frivolous spending in our sport and we believe in spending our funds in areas that are more impactful for who we are as a team and where we want to make our mark.”

Team owner and athlete, Bubba Pauli, made the decision in 2017 to expand his personal program and develop a race team. “I saw an opportunity that would allow me to not only keep my program going but to also become more desirable to companies.” Said, Bubba. “My goal has always been to elevate the privateer brand by being as professional and organized as possible. Our team has continued to grow each year and we’ve not only seen companies and brands having interest in being part of our team but riders also approaching us about being part of our program. It’s reassuring to receive phone calls or have people walk up to you in the pits and compliment on the team and its image.”

The team is entering the 2021 season with its most competitive line-up yet. Newly added to the team will be 250SX competitor Logan Karnow. Logan had a standout 2020 season where he finished 21st overall in the 250 West series and scored a couple of top 15 finishes. Logan is set to compete in the 250 East series as well as the 450SX west rounds. His speed along with his high-energy and flare will bring even more positive attention to the team. Also new to the team is Canadian, Phillipe Therrien, who will be the team’s new driver and full-time mechanic. Phil brings experience from his past work with other teams in the industry.

Both Pauli and Cros displayed their ability to compete against the stacked 450 field in 2020. Cros had strong performances early on where he would just fall short of main events by a few spots numerous times. In addition, Joan led the PulpMX Privateer Challenge through Daytona when COVID would hit, placing a pause to the season and preventing his return from Spain. Pauli would find his groove when the series picked back up in Salt Lake City. He led the PulpMX Privateer Challenge for a few rounds in Salt Lake City and missed the main by one position in the final round. He went on to finish 2nd in the PulpMX challenge. The team is headed into round 1 prepared and excited to secure their best career finishes.

The team would also like to thank all of their additional partners; Top Secret Designs, Blud Lubricants, Dedicated Ride Co, Devol Racing, Grants Siding, Pirelli, LS2 Helmets, Flow Vision, Phoenix Handlebars, NONE Racing, RynoPower, SBS, DirtTricks, Euromoto85, Route 15, JH2, Rekluse Motorsports, Race Tech, Asterisks, Bolt Hardware, No-Toil, MotoTape, TappedOut, Ride Engineering, Gatedrop Designs, DirtSquirt, Supercross.com, Holiday Mowing.
